King of Spring

So far, Mr. Cody Ross is making a hell of an impression. He's been hitting great, and yesterday he hit a weak ball that was misplayed, so he turned an easy out into being safe at first. Hustle -- nice to see.

This guy is 31, and he dipped a bit last year after several really good years. Let's hope his great spring continues into the season.

Meanwhile Vicente Padilla, who at 34 may be the oldest man in camp without a guaranteed spot, had a rough day yesterday. It's too soon to scratch him, but he needs a good outing to avoid Pawtucket.
