Bobby Valentine will be on the radio once a week...in New York?

From ESPN Boston
Starting today at 4:30 p.m., Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine will call in for a weekly segment on the Michael Kay Show on ESPN New York Radio 1050. Each week, we'll also promote the appearance right here on ESPNBoston.com and recap it with the audio clip and partial transcript. The time and day will vary from week to week, but we'll keep you updated. For starters, you can CLICK HERE to listen today at 4:30.
Why isn't he doing it on one of the two Boston networks? Is Bobby still a slave to ESPN? Does this mean Mazz has more fodder to trash Valentine with? Will Curt Schilling somehow make this about himself? Does this affect Valentine's position as Director of Public Safety for the city of Stamford, CT? How many titles can I add a question mark to in one day?

In the grand scheme of things this isn't a big deal at all. It's just Bobby earning a little extra cash in a much bigger market than Boston. I'm sure he'll still call in to the Boston stations so going to go making this something bigger than it really is. Still, with all of the stories swirling around the Sox right now it might be worth a listen today. You know Bobby is going to be good for a couple quotes.

PS- Who is Bobby's dentist and how do I get in touch with him?
