Golf, Really? We're Mad About Golf?

ZOMG!

Report: Josh Beckett played golf before missing Red Sox start
On one hand, this is the dumbest controversy ever. The notion that a major league pitcher who throws in the 90s is somehow being recklessly irresponsible by playing a game favored by retirees is absolutely laughable.

On the other hand, the atmosphere is so charged, with this team continuing to lose, it's like a family holiday after a blowout. The slightest little thing is likely to set someone off. And, unfortunately for Beckett, there are millions of someones. But, I suspect, fewer every day ... so there's that.

Our first illustration shows major league pitching, which is extremely difficult. Our second shows golf, which is generally not considered strenuous.
