Cody Ross signs with the Diamondbacks

ESPN
The Arizona Diamondbacks agreed to terms Saturday with free-agent outfielder Cody Ross on a three-year contract, according to sources. ESPN's Jim Bowden reports the deal is worth $26 million and includes a club option with a $1 million buyout.

Ross, 31, is coming off a season in which he batted .267 with 22 homers and 81 RBIs in 130 games for the Boston Red Sox.
Ross had a big year with the Sox and it was looking for a while like he'd return to Boston, but a deal wasn't able to get done and the Sox went in another direction.
