Red Sox bullpen coach Gary Tuck opts for retirement effective immediately

The last shred of evidence that Bobby V ever coached for the Boston Red Sox is now gone as long-time bullpen coach Gary Tuck has opted to forgo the 2013 season with the Red Sox. Tuck was the only coach carried over from the Bobby V era. His tenure with the Red Sox has spanned six seasons including a World Series championship in 2007.

A graduate of Indiana University Tuck joined the Red Sox as their bullpen coach after the 2006 season. Before his tenure in Boston Tuck had coaching stints with the Florida Marlines (2006) and the New York Yankees (1990), (1998-1999).

Gary Tuck retires with over 22 years of professional coaching experience.
