Red Sox outfielder Ryan Kalish will undergo shoulder surgery, again

Red Sox outfielder Ryan Kalish will most likely be searching for a good luck charm, rabbit's foot or anything else that might spare him continued agony. The injury prone outfielder was recovering from surgery which repaired a torn labrum in his left shoulder when he hit another setback.

According to sources Kalish will undergo another surgery sometime next week. This time it’s the 24 year-old’s right shoulder that’s in need of repair.

The surgery will likely force the Red Sox outfielder to miss the entire 2013 season, delaying his comeback another year. Kalish made his Red Sox debut in 2010. Within two years Kalish has appeared in 89 games. He has a .243 batting average with 38 runs, 4 homeruns and 29 RBI.

The most depressing part of this whole situation might be Kalish’s response on his Twitter account. Kalish took to the social media outlet to express his disappointment and frustration about his current predicament.

In the wake of this news the Red Sox re-signed outfielder Ryan Sweeney to a Minor League deal.
