Jackie Bradley Jr Makes Team, Probably
Before tonight's game, the Red Sox had three players fighting for two spots. After the Red Sox's Mayor's Cup clinching win, the Red Sox beat writers basically live tweeted Ryan Sweeney being called into the office and cut from the team. While Sweeney will be left to find a new home for his patient approach, rock-solid glove, and five o'clock power; that essentially means Jackie Bradley Jr and Mike Carp have made the club.
Carp can fill in either OF corner and 1B, while Bradley should be the Opening Day LF. When David Ortiz is ready to come off the DL the club can figure out what to do with Bradley then.
