3 Stars of the game: Game 14

The Boston Red Sox continued their hot streak winning their 5th game in a row, the second in Cleveland. 15 hits by the Red Sox lead the way, with the team getting on the board early and often. Indians pitcher Justin Masterson was tied for the MLB lead in ERA but lost that after the Red Sox hitters roughed him up early. The Red Sox are currently 10-4, and are 9-0 when scoring first. The Red Sox bullpen has continued to be fantastic, once again getting their starting pitchers out of a sticky situation. Here are your stars of the game:

Star 3: Daniel Nava
Nava went 2-5 on the night with 2 RBI's. In the first inning he singled to left field bringing in Dustin Pedroia, bring the lead to 3. Nava is currently one of the hotter bats in the lineup, hitting .324 on the year.
Star 2: Mike Napoli
Napoli also was 2-5 on the day with 2 RBI's. He started the run scoring in the first inning with a bases loaded single. Napoli was the most patient hitter at the plate tonight for the Sox seeing 22 total pitches.
Star 1: Mike Carp
Carp had 3 at bats all season going into this before getting the start tonight, so most people expected him to be slightly rusty at the plate. Carp was exactly the opposite of this going 3-3 with 3 XBH (extra base hits). He also had 1 RBI before being pinch hit for in the 7th inning. While it would have been nice to see Carp try to go 4-4 in his post game interview he said that he agreed with the managers call to go with the better hitting match up.
