3 Stars of the game: Game 22

The Red Sox are currently halfway home on the sweep of the Houston Astros, but tonight's game wasn't quite as easy as the first of the season. Tonight the Astros came ready to fight, and fight they did. Fortunately for the Red Sox the long ball powered the offense and mustered out a win. Again great pitching lead the way, a key to the early season success that the Red Sox have been achieving. Here are the 3 stars of the game:

Star 3: Dustin Pedrioa
Peedy again had a great game. Tonight he went 3-5 at the plate with an RBI and one run scored. Peedy started of the scoring tonight with a double in the first inning scoring Jacoby Ellsbury.
Star 2: Ryan Dempster
Dempster should have not had to wait this long to get his first win, but it was worth the wait. Whenever Dempster would get the ball in his first 4 starts he would not get the run support that was needed to get him the win, tonight was different. Tonight the offense provided the runs and Dempster provided the K's. Dempster pitched 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. He kept batters guessing and struck out 10, walking only 3.
Star 1: David Ross
Ross called a great game behind the plate and had an even better game at the plate. Ross is dong as much as he can to make us forget about Cody Ross, and make people remember David Ross. Ross got his first career 4-hit game going 4-4 with 2 RBI's and 3 runs scored. Ross hit 2 home runs today one in the second inning and one in the fourth, the later being the second of back-to-back home runs with Will Middlebrooks hitting the first.
