4 real? Four at bats that changed the game. Red Sox vs A's 4-22-13

Game 19 : Red Sox win 9-6
The Red Sox out-slugged the A's tonight with timely hitting and a good start by Felix Doubront. The A's made it close when the Red Sox relief staff gave back some runs, but great defensive and an exclamation point save by Andrew Bailey gave the Red Sox the win. Here are the 4 at bats that changed the game:

1) Bottom of the fourth inning, and the A's lead 2-1 on a single and wild pitch. Mike Napoli is hit by a pitch and Daniel Nava doubles Napoli to third. Will Middlebrooks, who is hitting .174 since his three homerun game two weeks ago, crushes a 2-0 slider over the Green Monster to put the Red Sox up 4-2.

2) Bottom of the fifth inning, and the bases are loaded for Mike Napoli. He takes a low A.J. Griffin breaking ball and golfs it to the deepest part of the Green Monster, hitting a grand slam on a 3-2 pitch to put the Red Sox up 8-3. See it here

3) Top of the eight inning, and the A's are threatening in a 9-4 game. Clayton Mortensen is pitching for the Sox and he really has struggled early for them, He walks the first batter he sees, then hits the next batter. A Josh Donaldson double plates a run, and a Josh Reddick double plates another. By the time Eric Sogard comes up versus Junichi Tazawa, the A's look confident they could tie this up. Sogard crushes a well hit ball to right, ut Shane Victorino coves a lot of ground, and makes a great running catch to help end the rally. 9-6 Red Sox.

4) Top of the ninth inning, and Andrew Bailey, the Co-AL Player of the week is pitching. He walks Chris Young, but then gets filthy and strikes out Brandon Moss on a dirty cut fastball and gets Jed Lowrie on heat. As John Jaso comes up, he can not nothing but ground out toe the other Co-AL player of the week, Mike Napoli, and the game ends with a 9-6 win.
Tomorrow, the Red Sox play at 6:35 when Alfredo Aceves matches up with Bartolo Colon.
