Jerry Remy's cancer resurfaces

If you weren't just watching the NESN pregame show, you missed a one-on-one interview between Tom Caron and Jerry Remy. In the pre-recorded interview, Remy told Red Sox Nation that back in January his lung cancer had come back. Thankfully, he was able to get radiation done in March, and says he is feeling great now and is "upbeat and positive". He has no plans to miss any broadcasts, and in fact, NESN announced that they had resigned Remy to a multi-year contract.

Jerry Remy is a class act, and getting to make this announcement himself before news broke to the general public and media is exactly what he deserves. It's hard to imagine Sox broadcasts without him, and hopefully we have him for years to come.

Red Sox Life sends our best wishes to you, Jerry!
