UPDATE (4:30pm): Red Sox manager, John Farrell, will use Allen Webster as the Sox starter for Wednesday's game and Felix Doubront will be used out of the bullpen for this one rotation.

UPDATE (4:15pm): According to Alex Speier of WEEI.com Webster will, more than likely, get the start on Wednesday in turn pushing Felix Doubront's start back a day.

If the TLC network was looking for a new trauma series perhaps they should place a call to the Boston Red Sox bullpen. At this point the Sox starting rotation has been put on notice: Either go deep into the game or bit your finger nails in the dugout as you watch the next relief pitcher physically break down in front of your eyes.

After last night's forearm injury to Hanrahan (it's only a matter of time before he's back on the disabled list) the Red Sox are starting to wonder if they've been cursed by the trading of Papelbon rather than the Bambino. It's with that frightening imagery that we announce Allen Webster is in Boston and has joined the Red Sox for tonight's game against the Twins. He has been officially called up from Triple-A Pawtucket.

Let's all get on our knees and pray to the baseball gods that Webster can stay healthy longer than two-thirds of an inning.
