Clay Buchholz has been scratched from his start tomorrow against the Philadelphia Phillies due to a collarbone injury.

Manager John Farrell said Buchholz started feeling irritation in the AC joint after his last start. No MRI is planned and Farrell said he is not concerned with any sort of shoulder problem.

Buchholz who has started the season 7-0 with a 1.73 ERA said, "It's just something that's there. Doctors have said I can go out and throw. I'm not going to hurt anything. Just that joint where it's at, it has a little bit of cartilage in the middle, and they say I irritated the cartilage by sort of laying on it and pinching it."

Alfredo Aceves, called up from Pawtucket Friday, will get the spot start. Aceves was 2-1 with a 3.31 ERA at Pawtucket.
