Jonny Gomes (pictured) lifted a sacrifice fly to centerfield in the top of the 10th inning scoring Dustin Pedroia with what proved to be the winning run as the Red Sox nipped the Minnesota Twins 3-2 at Target Field.

Though he didn't figure in the decision, Clay Buchholz pitched another gem for the Red Sox. He went 7 full innings charged with 2 runs on just 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9.

The Red Sox got on the board first when David Ortiz drove home Daniel Nava with an RBI single in the top of the 1st. The Twins responded in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Pedro Florimon's lined a two-run homer to right field. Jacoby Ellsbury tied the game with an RBI single in the top of the 7th.

Alex Wilson got the win in relief, the first of his career. Koji Uehara pitched a scoreless 10th inning for his first save of the season.
