3 Stars of the Games: Games 65-66

The Red Sox have started their 4 game series with the Tampa Bay Rays with a split of the first two games. The first game went to extra innings before the Sox defeated the Rays and then in the second game the Sox lost. Here are the stars of the games:
Game 65:
Star 3: Dustin Pedroia
In the 14 inning game most players got to step to the plate 7 times, during this game pedroia went 1-5 with 2 RBI's and 1 run scored. Pedroia got the runs started in the first inning scoring 2 on a single. He walked twice and struck out twice.
Star 2: Daniel Nava
Nava got 6 at bats in the marathon game, going 2-6 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. His 2 RBI's increased his season total to 42. He walked in one at bat and also struck out once.
Star 1: Jarrod Saltalamacchia
Salty went 4-7 on the night with 3 RBI's. His most important hit came in the 14th inning, getting the Sox an insurance run, and helping the Sox win.
Game 66:
Star 3: Matt Joyce
Joyce went 2-3 against the Sox, with 1 run scored and 2 RBI's. He hit a 2 run home run in the 2nd inning, his 12th of the season increasing his RBI total to 29 on the year.
Star 2: Desmond Jennings
Jennings hit 2 home runs off of the Sox, one in the 2nd inning and another in the 5th. He went 3-5 with 2 RBI's and 3 runs scored.
Star 1: Roberto Hernandez
Hernandez pitched a fantastic game for the Rays, allowing only 3 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings pitched. He improved to 4-6 on the year. He struck out 7 and only walked 2.
