The beginning of the game was rough to watch and then the game continued to drag on, so most of Red Sox Nation missed the end of the game, but if you were one of the few that stayed up to watch the whole game you saw an offensive explosion by both teams. They combined for 19 runs and 29 hits. Here are the 3 stars of the game:
Star 3: Dustin Pedroia
Pedroia went 2-5 last night with 3 RBI's and scored 1 run. Pedroia hit a 2 run home run in the third inning with Victorino on base. He then hit a single in the 4th inning plating Daniel Nava. Pedroia now has 53 RBI's and 6 home runs on the season.
Star 2: Kendreys Morales
Morales was a large contributor to the Mariners offensive success against Webster. Morales hit 2 home runs off Webster, one in the first inning and another in the third. He went 3-5 with 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. The two home runs brought his season total to 13 and his RBI total to 51.
Star 1: David Ortiz
Ortiz had a milestone night last night, going 4-5. His 4 hit game tied him at the top of the list for hits when at the Designated Hitter position. He had 1 RBI and scored 3 runs. Ortiz also had a stolen base last night, his third of the season, and got the biggest jump ive seen all season. Ortiz is still hitting well above .300 on the year with a .327 average.

Finally the bats woke up from their slumber and the Sox broke the losing streak. The team plays 2 more games in Seattle and it would be nice to see them come away with 2 more wins. What do you think the boys need to do in order to make this want a reality? Leave your answer in the comments below or on twitter @Ryanthahawaiian.
