The 2012 season can be officially forgotten now. Bobby who? This 2013 Boston Red Sox team plays with grit, plays together and they play to win. With the Red Sox leading the AL East with the best record in the American League and sporting the most wins in the majors at the All-Star break, let's look back on the top 5 moments of what has been an exciting year so far.

Number 5: The arrival of rookie Jose Iglesias. It's hard to find just one moment because he's had a bunch this season. But Iggy's quick hands against the Yankees is sure fun to watch.

Number 4: May 20 - The Memorial Day Miracle. Trailing 5-2 in the bottom of the ninth, the Sox cap off the comeback.

Number 3: June 18 - Jonny Gomes helmet punting walk-off. The Red Sox have eight walk-off wins this year, but this was one of the most exciting.

Number 2: April 20 - Boston, this is for you. Just days after the Boston Marathon bombings a win felt good.

Number 1: April 20 - Big Papi rallies a city. One of the most memorable moments of this Red Sox season and perhaps Sox history happened before the first pitch was even thrown. Just five days after the Boston Marathon Bombings, the Red Sox made an emotional return to Fenway Park.

It's been an exciting first half of the season. Here's to an even better second half as the Red Sox push towards their first playoff appearance since 2009.
