"A bunch of teams are moving in quick" on Stephen Drew according to WEEI. No word on which teams are interested, and it's unclear what the Red Sox level of interest is beyond extending the qualifying offer. It looks unlikely that Drew will actually accept the qualifying offer of $14.1 million and his agent, Scott Boras, called him a top 5 shortstop offensively and defensively, according to WEEI.

Drew has until 5 p.m. today to make a decision on the qualifying offer. Again, it is not clear what Drew will ultimately decide and which teams are interested, but it doesn't seem likely that Stephen Drew will be in a Red Sox uniform. Either way, we'll know at 5 p.m. tonight. If Drew does ultimately decide to walk, we've still got Xander Bogaerts waiting in the wings. Drew may have had his best defensive year, especially in the postseason, but of all the Red Sox free agents, he's the most replaceable.
