Jackie Bradley Jr. stroked 3 singles and drove in a pair of runs, and John Lackey delivered 7 strong innings as the Red Sox beat the Texas Rangers 5-1 lead at Fenway Park, snapping Boston's 3-game losing streak. It was also the first win at home this season for the Red Sox.

Bradley drove Xander Bogaerts in with the first Red Sox run in the bottom of the 2nd inning; after the Rangers tied the score in the top of the 4th, he singled in the bottom of the frame to bring A.J. Pierzynski across with the go-ahead run. Bradley also made two fine defensive plays in right field.

Mike Napoli and Pierzynski also had 3 hits for Boston.

Lackey continued to impress in the early goings of the 2014 season allowing just 1 run on 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 5. Chris Capuano pitched a scoreless 8th inning followed by another scoreless 9th inning for Koji Uehara in a non-save situation.
