The Red Sox just confirmed what I think most of us suspected - Felix Doubront is going on the 15-day disabled list with what the Red Sox are calling a shoulder strain according to ESPN Boston. The Red Sox took Doubront out of his start last night due to shoulder fatigue after he complained of feeling numbness that got worse and caused him to struggle with his release point and command, and which also caused his velocity to drop according to ESPN Boston.

The Red Sox will likely call up someone from AAA Pawtucket for the time being, but the only question is who. Doubront will miss 2-3 starts and the Red Sox have quite a few options in Pawtucket, i.e. Brandon Workman or Allen Webster, both of whom could come up and fill in.

More details on this as they come out.
