Recap - another Sox game...another Sox loss

Sean Rodriguez's 3-run home run off Craig Breslow in the bottom of the 7th inning - part of a 5-run inning - snapped a 3-3 tie and helped push the Tampa Bay Rays past the Red Sox 8-5 at Tropicana Field.

The loss was the 10th in a row for Boston.

Brandon Workman started for the Red Sox. He went 5 innings, charged with 3 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3.

Boston took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 3rd inning on a sacrifice fly by Brock Holt that scored A.J. Pierzynski. Tampa scored 2 in the 4th and another in the 5th to take a 3-1 lead.

Jonny Gomes (pictured) tied the game at 3 with a 2-run homer in the top of the 7th; Boston added 2 more in the 9th to get a little closer.

Pierzynski had 3 hits for the Red Sox; Xander Bogaerts and Grady Sizemore each had 2 hits.

Boston has now been swept in 3 straight series.

Gomes and Yunel Escobar were ejected in the bottom of the 7th inning after an on-field altercation.
