Recap - Porcello, Tigers hold down Red Sox 6-1

The Detroit Tigers rapped out 11 hits including 6 doubles as they beat the Red Sox 6-1 at Fenway Park.

John Lackey took the loss for the Red Sox allowing 6 runs (5 earned) on 9 hits and 2 walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out 4.

Tigers starter Rick Porcello went 8 innings for the win limiting the Red Sox to just 6 hits.

Xander Bogaerts (pictured) had 3 hits and accounted for the lone Boston run with a solo home run off Porcello in the bottom of the 5th inning. Mike Napoli had a pair of hits.
