John Lackey (pictured) started for Boston and delivered another solid outing going 6 innings in the no-decision. He gave up 2 Oakland runs on 5 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4.

The A's jumped out to a 1-0 lead off Lackey in the top of the 1st inning on an RBI single by Brandon Moss. The lead held up until the bottom of the 5th inning when Grady Sizemore's double scored Mike Carp. After Oakland jumped back out in front with a run in the top of the 6th, A.J. Pierzynski tied the game with his 3rd home run of the season in the bottom of the 7th.
