Per a report by NESN, Brandon Workman has been suspended for "intentionally throwing a pitch in the head area" of Tampa Bay Rays 3rd basemen Evan Longoria during the crazy game on Friday night. That game also saw John Farrell and 2 others ejected during the game, which saw 2 Red Sox players drilled by ace David Price. Workman was also fined an undisclosed amount stemming from the incident, according to NESN. Workman is slated to start Wednesday against Cleveland, and could still start that game if he appeals the suspension, which he may do according to NESN.

No word yet on whether Price faces any discipline for hitting Mike Carp (both teams were warned after he hit David Ortiz) as of right now, but we'll let you know if he does. Personally, I think he should face some sort of suspension - he's one of the elite players in the game, and it'll take a lot of work to convince me that hitting 2 batters in a single game was unintentional, especially given the history between these 2 teams.
