The Red Sox need a win tonight. Really badly. They need to get into the win column and save their season before they don't have a season to save. Granted, some fans don't think there's a season to save, but I'm not one of those. I still think this team can go on a tear, but it has to start tonight against Chicago or there may not be a season left to save.

Getting a win tonight is easier said than done, though. The Sox are going up against John Danks, who is 4-2 with a 2.65 ERA in his last 8 starts and has 13 quality starts (6 innings or more, 3 runs or less) on the season. He's coming off a start in which he went 7.2 innings and 10 strikeouts against the LA Angels, which resulted in a no decision.

The Sox will send Brandon Workman against Chicago, who is coming off his worst start of the season, allowing 6 runs on 5 hits against the other Chicago team, the Cubs. He's allowed a total of 10 runs on 12 hits in his last 2 starts, taking the loss in both games, but he'll have to be better tonight and get the Red Sox back on track.
