Recap - Sox, Kelly implode in 7-5 loss to Rays

The Red Sox let a win slip completely out of their hands blowing a 5-1 lead and falling 7-5 to the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

Joe Kelly cruised through 5 shutout innings striking out 7. He allowed 4 hits and a walk in the 6th as the Rays came back with 5 runs to tie the game at 5. They scored 2 more in the 7th to complete the scoring.

Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz both homered for Boston in the loss. For Ortiz (pictured) it was the 469th HR of his career moving him into 32nd place on the all-time MLB career home run list.

Pedroia and Mike Napoli each had 2 hits for the Red Sox.
