The man, the myth, and the legend himself, Jonny Gomes, made his long awaited return to Fenway Park earlier this week. His Atlanta Braves came to Boston for a home-and-home series with the Red Sox. Gomes went just 1-6 over the two games with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts.

In the bottom of the 4th on Monday, Jonny Gomes reminded us all he can play a little bit of defense or can at least play a better left field than Hanley. Gomes went into a dive and robbed Dustin Pedroia of a base hit as seen in the video below.

Jonny Gomes will forever be one of my favorite Red Sox players. He is someone you want to go to war with, will do whatever it takes to win, and is just a gritty player. Gomes hit .247 with 13 homers and 52 RBI during the magical 2013 season in Boston. While this current Sox team still isn't good, it was nice to see a 2013 World Series hero return to Fenway Park.
