A rough couple of innings for Henry Owens and a quality start by Josh Timlin added up to an 8-2 Red Sox loss in Cleveland Friday night.

The loss guaranteed a sub-.500 finish for Boston.

Owens allowed ten hits and four walks in just 4.1 innings in suffering his fourth loss of the season. He was charged with four runs in the third and three more in the fifth.

David Ortiz hit his 37th home run of the year in the fourth inning.
