Coming off last night's 8-4 loss to the Royals, the Red Sox will send Steven Wright to the hill in the first game of Wednesday's day/night doubleheader at Kauffman Stadium.

Wright (3-3) has been perhaps the most consistent of the Red Sox starting pitchers this season, going at least six innings in six of his seven starts. His best outing was a complete game win over the Yankees in New York on May 8.

The Royals will counter with Ian Kennedy (3-3) who has won two of his last three starts. He has only faced the Red Sox once in his career, a 6-3 loss in June of 2010 while with Arizona.

Jackie Bradley Jr. brings a 22-game hitting streak with him into today's action.

Here is the Red Sox lineup (first pitch 2:15 EDT):

1. Mookie Betts RF
2. Dustin Pedroia 2B
3. Xander Bogaerts SS
4. David Ortiz DH
5. Travis Shaw 1B
6. Josh Rutledge 3B
7. Jackie Bradley Jr. CF
8. Chris Young LF
9. Ryan Hanigan C

P. Steven Wright RHP

WHO'S THE NEW GUY?
With the doubleheader, the Red Sox added pitcher Noe Ramirez as their 26th man per MLB rules; Kansas City added pitcher Alec Mills.
