A five-RBI night from Travis Shaw and six innings from starting pitcher Rick Porcello helped provide the Red Sox with a much-needed 8-2 win over Tampa Bay at Tropicana Field.

Shaw (pictured) began the scoring in the top of the second with his eighth home run of the season. He finished the night a triple short of the cycle.

Porcello held the Rays scoreless until the bottom of the fourth when he loaded the bases on a pair of walks and a single, and then walked a run in. He settled down after that striking out two and getting a fly out to end the threat. He struck out eight in earning his team-leading ninth win of the season.

David Ortiz, Jackie Bradley Jr., and Hanley Ramirez each had two hits for Boston.

The win snapped a three-game Boston losing streak.
