Chris Sale threw seven dominant innings and the offense chipped in with five runs of support as the Red Sox beat the Mariners 5-0 Sunday afternoon at Fenway Park.

Sale struck out 13 Seattle hitters in one of his best performances of 2018. He scattered four hits and walked just one as his record improved to 7-4. His ERA dropped to 2.56.

Once again, his velocity registered in the triple digits - his 93rd pitch of the game was clocked at 100.5 MPH to finish out the top of the seventh inning.

Boston scored three in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI double by Rafael Devers and sacrifice flies by Sandy Leon and Mookie Betts.

Mitch Moreland slammed his eleventh home run of the sixth with a man aboard to make it 5-0.

Jackie Bradley Jr. led Boston with three hits.
