The Red Sox lefty gave up a home run on the first pitch of the game and then proceeded to shut the Dodgers down for seven innings as Boston beat the Dodgers 5-1 to win the 2018 World Series.

Price retired fourteen in a row before issuing a walk in the bottom of the eighth. He struck out five and scattered three hits in winning his second game of the series.

Joe Kelly came on in relief and struck out the side; Chris Sale did likewise in the ninth.

Steve Pearce (pictured) was named World Series MVP after hitting a pair of home runs in Game 5. He joins Carl Yastrzemski in hitting three home runs in one series.

Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez also hit solo home runs in the win.

Rookie manager Alex Cora authored the most successful season in team history, ultimately resulting in 119 win and became the fifth first-year manager to win the World Series.
