A Tip of the Cap to OC

Orlando Cabrera has announced his retirement at 37.

He played less than half a season in Boston, and was traded for mysterious reasons. There are rumors that you can google.

But, he remains the Man Who Replaced Nomar, and he did so admirably. He also, of course, was an important member of the 2004 World Series team (every player on that team was important).

So cheers, OC. If things get dull in Colombia, I guarantee that at least one person in every bar in New England will buy you a drink.
