Sox lose to Twins 8-4

Felix Doubront went a shaky 4.2 innings today surrendering 8 hits but somehow only giving up two runs. I take this as a positive that he was able to go out and keep his team in the game even though he obviously didn't have his best stuff. It's starting to look more and more like it will be Doubront or Miller in the 5th spot so the next few games will most likely decide who gets the illustrious honor and constant second guessing of b being in the back end of a thin rotation.

Mark Melancon was saddled with the loss giving up 3 runs on 3 hits in only one inning but since this is his first bad outing there isn't much of a reason for concern, yet.

Offensiveley the Sox were paced by Jacoby Ellsbury (2-3 2B, RBI). Jose Iglesias went hitless in his return but did have an RBI.

Something to keep an eye on: David Ortiz went 0-3 with two strike outs as he continues his slide - and Kevin Youkilis seems to be rounding into form as he went 1-1 and also added a walk.

The Red Sox take on the Blue Jays at 7:05pm tomorrow.
