Loooooooong Ball

The Sox slugged five homers to wallop the Rays 13-5.

Four of the shots -- Ortiz, Mike Aviles, Saltalamacchia, and Cody Ross -- were the first of the season for each player. Dustin Pedroia had the other one.

Clay Buchholz allowed all five runs, but settled in and pitched decently to keep it close until the Sox exploded in the late innings.

Franklin Morales put the Rays down in order in the eighth, and Alfredo Aceves did the same in the ninth for his second save.

The Sox are now 3-5 on the season. Things are looking up.
