Sox Tamed By Tigers 7-3

Detroit rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to beat the Red Sox 7-3 at Fenway Park, snapping Boston's 3-game winning streak and avoiding a 4-game sweep.

The Red Sox scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning on Jarrod Saltalamacchia's 10th home run of the season and an RBI double by Scott Podsednik. The Tigers countered with 3 runs in their half of the 3rd inning off Red Sox starter Josh Beckett, adding runs in the 5th, 8th and 9th innings.

Beckett took the loss, his 5th of the season. He went 7 innings and was charged with 4 runs on 10 hits, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
