Youkilis Trade Talk Getting Louder

Gordon Edes weighs in.

"A lot of clubs could use him," another evaluator said. "Put him in a small ballpark, and he might go off. I'll tell you one thing -- [Dan] Duquette would trade for him."

I'm not there yet; there's been too much Youk, killing the ball, for too long. He has one major disadvantage, though -- he's struggling and coming off his worst year. As we know trades are about the future, because the past is gone.

There have been whispers before -- allegations of a bad attitude, not not being Mr. Clubhouse. But Pedroia had his back last month, so who knows?
