Papi, Kalish Push Sox Past Cubs 7-4

David Ortiz hit his 16th home run of the season in the 4th inning and Ryan Kalish's RBI single in the top of the 7th inning snapped a 3-3 tie as the Red Sox topped the Cubs 7-4 in the rubber game of their interleague series at Wrigley Field.

Dustin Pedroia and Ortiz (pictured) each had a pair of hits as the Red Sox rapped out 12 hits. Matt Albers got the win in relief, one of five pitchers used by manager Bobby Valentine in relief of Franklin Morales. Alfredo Aceves made things interesting by giving up three straight hits in the 9th inning. He retired the next three hitters on a sacrifice fly, a strikeout looking and an infield popup.

Kalish was making his first appearance since the end of the 2010 season. He started in centerfield and batted ninth.
