Buch's Arm, Aviles' Bat Key Sox

Clay Buchholz pitched 7 solid innings and Mike Aviles broke a 1-1 tie with an RBI single in the top of the 9th inning as the Red Sox snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Texas Rangers in Arlington.

Buchholz (pictured) allowed 1 run on 4 hits while walking 3 and striking out 1. Vicente Padilla picked up his 4th win of the season in relief; Alfredo Aceves notched his 21st save of the season.

The Sox scored first on an RBI double by Kelly Shoppach in the top of the 4th inning that scored Cody Ross. They were held scoreless until the 9th when Mike Aviles singled off Rangers closer Joe Nathan that plated Daniel Nava with the ultimate winning run.
