It's the Cody Ross Show - Featuring Ells, CC & Adrian

Cody Ross hit a pair of 3-run home runs, and barely missed a 3rd four-bagger, as the Red Sox pounded the Chicago White Sox 10-1 at Fenway Park Wednesday night. Ross was one of 3 Boston hitters with 3 base hits on the night - Jacoby Ellsbury and Adrian Gonzales were both 3-for-4. Ross (6 RBI's) and Gonzalez (4 RBI's) drove in all 10 Red Sox runs.

The night started like so many other recent Red Sox evenings - with the team in a hole. Paul Konerko's RBI single off starter Felix Doubront gave Chicago a quick 1-0 lead. Boston wasted no time getting going. Ellsbury doubled leading off the bottom of the 1st and scored on a single by Adrian Gonzalez. Then in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Ellsbury led off with a single, was chased to third on a single by Carl Crawford, and Ross (pictured) crushed a pitch by White Sox rookie starting pitcher Pedro Hernandez over the Monster to give the Olde Towne Team a 4-1 lead.

Doubront went 6 innings to earn his 10th win of the season. After that 1st inning he settled down nicely and ultimately gave up just 4 hits. He walked 3 and struck out 2.
