NOW Cook Figures A Way To Win?

Jacoby Ellsbury's 4th home run of the year in the top of the 6th inning broke up Alex Cobb's no-hit bid and put the Red Sox in the lead as they went on to beat Tampa Bay 5-2 at the Trop.

Ellsbury (pictured) had 3 hits to pace the Red Sox offense and help make a winner out of Aaron Cook.

Cook went 6 innings allowing 1 run on 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1 in a performance that made you wonder "where has this been all season?" For Cook it was his 4th win of the season; his ERA dropped from 5.18 to 4.93. He came into the game a "perfect" 0-6 in his last 6 starts.

Rich Hill, Junichi Tazawa and Mark Melancon combined to hold the Rays to 1 run on 1 hit over the final 3 innings.
