BREAKING NEWS: Will Middlebrooks injured

Sweet mother of Jesus that didn't take long. It looks like Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks has been diagnosed with a sore right wrist and will be reevaluated on Thursday. This coming after Middlebrooks stated that his "wrist was fine, if you guys were wondering" in a video Joel Trunfio posted earlier today.
Middlebrooks left today's game against the Orioles following a check swing at the plate. Middlebrooks, clearly in pain, threw his helmet down, grabbed the injured wrist and immediately headed into the clubhouse screaming expletives along the way - it's the same wrist he fractured last season.

Moving forward the Red Sox and manager John Farrell will need to take extreme caution when dealing with Middlebrooks. Hopefully the injury is minor and won't hinder his chances of starting at third base on opening day.
