Red Sox prepare as Boston recovers from storm

Many of the pitchers and catchers of the Boston Red Sox must be happy that they reported to spring training early. While the pitchers and catchers are enjoying the beautiful weather of Florida many of us Bostonians are spending time shoveling snow to get our cars out. Players like Will Middlebrooks, who resides in Boston may be regretting not reporting early to Florida. Middlebrooks retweeted a picture sent to him of Fenway Park this morning. Safe to say its hard to believe that in 2 months Opening Day will be upon us at Fenway.

One of the strangest sights down in Florida is the return of Pedro Martinez. It has been 9 years since Pedro officially reported to Spring Training with the Red Sox, and it is good to have him back. The pitchers and cathers have lots of work to to before all the other players report to Florida to join them. The pitching was one of many struggles that the team had last year in a year that will quickly, if it hasn't already been forgotten. Many members of the pitching staff believe that John Lackey will play a key role with the team this season as he returns after not playing at all last season. While the prepares for the season, stay warm fellow Bostonians, nemo has left but the effects will remain for quite some time.
