3 Stars of the game: Game 9

In the rubber game of the first home series of the season the Red Sox were not able to overcome a lead acquired by Baltimore in the 7th inning. This being the first series that the team has lost this season brings their record to 5-4, still a much better start to the year than we have had the previous 2 years. The team tonight was overrun by 3 Baltimore players, your three stars of the game:

Star 3: Chris Davis
Davis continues to be on an offensive hot streak for the month of April, adding to his HR total and his league leading RBI total. Davis got the Baltimore offense rolling early with a solo home run in the second inning. Davis went 1-2 tonight with 1 run scored, and 1 RBI. He also worked 2 walks while at the plate.
Star 2: Manny Machado
Machado had the annoying knack of being able to get on base right before Adam Jones would come up to the plate tonight. Tonight Machado went 3-4 with a walk and 2 runs scored.
Star 1: Adam Jones
Jones was the Red Sox killer tonight, he was the leading offensive contributor for Baltimore knocking in 2 runs in his 4 at bats. He went 2-5 tonight with 2 RBI's. In the fifth inning he hit a single that scored a run and then in his next at bat in the 7th he hit a double that scored another run.
