It's been quite an exciting 24 hours for the Boston Red Sox. Comebacks, walk-offs, surprising heroes.
It's been quite a 24 hours for Red Sox Nation. Don't worry, we'll sleep in November.
It's also been quite a 24 hours for Jonny Gomes.
Early Thursday morning Gomes scored an unassisted double play.
Late Thursday night Gomes threw a man out at third, made a Green Monster shattering catch, took what appeared to be strike three (the Mariners didn't realize Gomes has nine lives), before driving in the tying run in the Red Sox bottom of the ninth win.
The 24 hour ride ended in soaked celebrations.
Great catches, clutch hits, Gatorade showers. He's Jonny Gomes, the most interesting man in the world.
