Gomes turns a rare two

If you stay up late enough during a Red Sox game you are bound to see something you have never seen before. We saw just that thing in last night's 15-inning 5-4 Red Sox walk-off win over the Mariners. Left fielder Jonny Gomes turned an unassisted double play.

Gomes said, “It definitely was on purpose. To tell you the truth I’ve been waiting years to do that. Never had one and never seen one. That’s one I’m glad I’ve got on my resume.”

After a five hour game, Red Sox Nation's happy you got it too, Jonny. The Sox are back in first.
