Red Sox sign former Yankee Chris Young

ESPN:
The Boston Red Sox have reached an agreement on a multiyear contract with free-agent outfielder Chris Young pending a physical exam, a source confirmed to ESPN.

He hit 14 home runs and slugged .453 in 140 games with the Yankees last season.

The Sox certainly love having outfield depth. While this move is likely just for that reason, it does increase the odds slightly that Rusney or Jackie is traded for a pitcher.
