So much for Dave Dombrowski saying that he didn't expect the Red Sox to make any blockbuster moves during the Winter Meetings.

Multiple sources are reporting that the Red Sox have completed a deal with the Chicago White Sox for left-handed pitcher Chris Sale.

In return, Boston is sending highly-prized pitching prospect Michael Kopech, infielder Yoan Moncada, and two other prospects, Luis Alexander Basabe and right-hander Victor Diaz.

Early reports mistakenly had Mauricio Dubon included in the trade.

Sale was 17-10 in 2016, matching his career-high in wins.
