The Red Sox jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning on back-to-back home runs by Mookie Betts (pictured) and Hanley Ramirez. Betts' blow came with two on.

Boston ripped fourteen hits, five of the them by Andrew Benintendi. Betts, Xander Bogaerts and Mitch Moreland each had a pair of hits. Moreland also went deep.

Rodriguez didn't give up a hit until the bottom of the fifth inning. He went six innings, striking out seven while issuing five walks.

Matt Barnes was ejected in the bottom of the eighth inning for hitting Manny Machado, a ball that upon replay actually hit Machado's bat for a foul ball. Machado took Dustin Pedroia out on Friday night with a hard slide into second base.

Pablo Sandoval left the game after the sixth inning with what was called a sprained knee, suffered making a defensive play.
