Baseball people have always raved about his stuff, but over the course of the first few years of his career, there always seemed to be something missing.

ERod (pictured) delivered another solid performance Wednesday night as the Red Sox beat the Tigers 7-1 at Fenway Park. He held Detroit to just one run on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings while striking out five. He improved his record to 7-1 this season.

Andrew Benintendi had two hits including his 10th home run of the year.

Trailing 1-0, the Red Sox plated four runs in the bottom of the third inning on RBI doubles by Christian Vazquez, Benintendi and Xander Bogaerts.

Vazquez and Bogaerts each had three hits in the victory.

Boston has won four in a row and seven of its last ten games.
